Monday, November 01, 2004 UNI Regional Business Center to offer introductory seminars on Entrepreneurship CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa Regional Business Center (RBC) will offer two seminars on entrepreneurship in November.
"To Be or Not To Be: The Entrepreneur vs. The Employee" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10. Guy Chiattello, UNI's Entrepreneur- in-Residence, will lead the seminar that will provide a chance for individuals to explore entrepreneurship and all of the rewards and challenges of owning a business, according to Katie Viet, RBC-SBDC (Small Business Development Center) program coordinator. This seminar is free to the public.
"Small Business Basics" will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16. The seminar will introduce new venture entrepreneurs to small business legalities, business planning, financial planning, commercial bank financing, market research and state financial assistance programs. The course will be taught by James Hoelscher, RBC-SBDC program manager for entrepreneurial outreach. The fee for Small Business Basics is $15.
