Wednesday, March 14, 2007 UNI's CEEE hosts speaker on geothermal in Building for the Future Series CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's Center for Energy & Environmental Education (CEEE) will host a discussion on geothermal installations, pros and cons of geothermal energy, best applications and cost considerations. Curt Klaassen, manager of the Energy Resource Station, Iowa Energy Center, will speak at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 22, in the CEEE auditorium, room 11. This is the third presentation in the "Building for the Future: Energy Efficient Alternatives," a speakers series on energy-efficient construction methods. The series is free and open to the public. The series is sponsored by Alliant Energy, Aquila, Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission, Cedar Falls Utilities, Iowa Energy Center, MidAmerican Energy and Waverly Light and Power.
