Tuesday, October 20, 2009 Register now for UNI workshop on coaching to optimize performance Enrollment deadline is Nov. 5 CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Registration is now open for the management workshop "Discovering your Employees' Strengths and Coaching to Optimize Performance," hosted by the University of Northern Iowa's Executive Development Center. The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, on the UNI campus. The deadline for registration is Thursday, Nov. 5.
Workshop participants will learn to understand the value of coaching as a manager and to recognize opportunities for coaching team members. They also will practice methods of empowering employees to take responsibility for personal and career development. Ronelle Langley, leader of the Professional Skills Initiative within UNI's College of Business Administration and president of Executive Coaching International, will facilitate the workshop.
"This workshop will teach participants when and how to coach individuals and their teams to higher levels of performance," said Kim Recker, program manager for the UNI Executive Development Center. The cost is $249 per workshop, plus a $25 non-refundable deposit per person for each workshop.
